Choosing a baby stroller is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make as a new mom or dad.
I remember the exact day I invested in my stroller, one that would see me through many years with my little ones. But what if you’ve found the perfect stroller only to find that your particular brand, make, or model number has a recall. That can be a tough one.
That’s why I created this baby stroller recalls list so you can always stay informed on the latest recalls, with some great alternatives to choose from (maybe even ones you’ll love more), so you can feel safe and sound on the go. There are many types of strollers out there, so I tried to break it down into three groups:
- Single Baby Stroller recalls — This includes any single baby stroller, including jogging strollers, and all-in-ones.
- Double or Triple Stroller recalls — This includes all double strollers that might be recalled, including jogging strollers.
- Other Baby Stroller recalls — these include the umbrella strollers or special makes that I can’t include in the above list
First, a little about the recalls
I’ve only included the recalls from the past 5 years, that should keep most of you covered. I’ve done my best to scour the web, find the latest recalls and post them all here. I’ve also included a suitable alternative to try that I know you’ll love just as much.
If you find that your baby stroller has been recalled, there is usually a fairly simple process of things that you need to do. Most companies have safety protocols and risk mitigation programs in place that make things easy for you to either get a free repair of a defect (or repair kit), or be made whole, so you shouldn’t have to worry.
When it comes to stroller recalls, you have to know that they are indeed fairly rare in the general scheme of things, most of them are listed as a voluntary recall with free replacement free of charge as well, as most companies are keen to maintain an unquestioned reputation for consumer product safety (we have also included a few mandatory recall notifications).
Still, there are some simply defective products out there and others with specific parts issues.
