Loulouka Alternatives | How other baby formulas compare
Holle Organic Formula
Another European baby formula brand, Holle is more well-known than Loulouka and is manufactured in Southern Germany from grass-fed cows.
Much like Loulouka, they’ve created an organic cows’ milk formula using cows that graze on their biodynamic farms and lush green pastures. All farms used to adhere to Eu guidelines and regulations, so all animals are well treated and lead natural lives outdoors.
In terms of the formula itself, 99% of ingredients are organically cultivated. All their products contain no added nasties, including preservatives or colors, and Holle instead prefers to extract their ingredients from organic sources, like corn syrup and vegetable oils.
The biggest benefit of this is that your baby will be getting the essential fats, vitamins, and minerals needed for their growth and development from natural places, instead of overly processed, unnatural ingredients.

Which is the better option?

Answer: Yes, it’s totally safe. Loulouka Organic Infant Formula is a complete breast milk substitute for feeding newborns and infants, so you can either cut out breastfeeding completely or combine it with your own milk.
If stored properly, your baby formula should last for about 1 month. We recommend keeping any powdered baby formula in an airtight container and storing it in a cool, dry place – like a cupboard or pantry. As Loulouka contains no added preservatives, it won’t last as long as formulas that do contain them if exposed to air, so always store it correctly to keep it fresh for longer. This is probably the only downside to not using preservatives!
