Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller Review: Will You Love It?

Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller Review: Will You Love It?
Latest posts by Keith Lindner (see all)

The Babyzen brand has a handful of strollers for all of your baby and toddler needs, but the Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller may be the best one the brand has come out with yet.

It can be used for newborns onward, and you can even attach your car seat to it with the appropriate adapters, which are sold separately. But even without that, the stroller will give you plenty of mileage and offers so many little features that make up the big picture.

Designed to go with you pretty much anywhere, the Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller can be folded and unfolded with ease and can be carried like a bag as well. This makes it compact enough to fit in most overhead storage compartments in airplanes, so traveling with a stroller has never been easier with this one.

While in the infant position, the stroller seat lays flat facing inward so you can connect with your little one while he or she is snuggled beneath the built-in nesting pad cover. Then, when your baby reaches six months old, you can transition to the six months+ cover and allow them to sit up and see the world while you push them in the stroller.

The seat can recline to multiple positions for your baby’s comfort and a five-pointe point harness as well. You can buy the stroller on Amazon or in-store at Buy Buy Baby.

Features

  • With the appropriate attachments, the stroller can be used for infants, toddlers, and small children, thanks to the step-on and sit-in attachments for the back.
  • It’s designed for kids from 4-35 pounds.
  • It features an easy one-handed push if needed.
  • There’s also a carrying strap for taking it on the go.
  • It can fold up and be unfolded with just one hand,
  • Even with the newborn seating in place, you can still fold up the stroller without taking it apart.

Pros

  • The storage basket underneath has ample room for all of your baby’s necessities.
  • You can push it with one hand with no steering issues.
  • When folded, it can fit in most back seats with no problem.
  • It has a smooth ride and can easily move over bumps and uneven pavement.

Cons

  • It’s not quite as sturdy as some other larger all-in-one strollers.

How Others Compare

Echaprey Luxurious Anti-Shock Baby Stroller

Echaprey Luxurious Anti-Shock Baby Stroller

The Echaprey Luxurious Anti-Shock Baby Stroller is suitable for children from 0-3 years old and can transition to different stages and positions to keep them safe and comfortable at all times. The front wheels can be swiveled around for easy motion or locked into place if needed. The seat itself can either face in so you can keep a close eye on your baby or face out to see the world.

The backrest can be adjusted to three different positions, and the handlebar has six different height positions to accommodate different heights of parents and caregivers. That alone is a big quality that some other strollers don’t have, including the Babyzen YoYo+. This one is also relatively easy to fold and can be stored away in the trunk with ease.

Pros

  • You can use it for your infant until they’re three years old, which means it could be one of the only strollers you’ll need.
  • There are three different comfortable and safe recline positions to choose from.
  • The adjustable handlebar makes it easy to transition between you and your partner pushing the stroller.

Cons

  • It is on the heavier side, which can make transporting the actual stroller a little difficult.
  • At more than $500, it may be too pricey for some families.
  • The brake in the middle of the back of the stroller can sometimes get in the way.

SpringBuds Pram Baby Stroller

SpringBuds Pram Baby Stroller

Like other convertible strollers, the SpringBuds Pram Baby Stroller can be used for children from 0-55 pounds or from 0-3 years of age. Of course, your older child might eventually need another stroller, but this one should take you far. The stroller has a carrycot and toddler seat and can be switched between both options with each anytime you need to.

The anti-shock rubber wheels can absorb uneven pavement or bumpy terrain and will give your little one a smooth ride with easy maneuverability. It also has an adjustable handlebar for extra ease of use and a large covered basket below for storing your essentials.

Pros

  • The stroller has an easy and smooth ride every time.
  • You can put it together without any tools, making it easier to initially set up than most strollers.
  • The seat rotates to face either forward or inward, depending on your little one’s preference on any given day.
  • When the stroller is in bassinet mode, you can take the actual bassinet out of the frame to use it on its own.

Cons

  • It can sometimes be difficult to fold up the stroller.
  • The sun shade isn’t all that large.
  • The stroller itself could be lighter for easier transporting.

Joolz Hub Stroller

Joolz Hub Stroller

The Joolz Hub Stroller is perfect for the city or more rural areas, and that’s all thanks to its lightweight and sturdy frame and large rear wheels. The frame makes it easy to carry and transport when your little one isn’t in it, and the wheels make maneuverability easier.

You can also steer the stroller with one hand if needed and an extra-large sun hood, which can be hard to find with a versatile stroller like this one.

You can use the stroller for children from birth up to 18 months old with six different ergonomic seat positions and a lay-flat option. Which, again, is hard to come by with some similar strollers. But this small feature enables your little one to lay down comfortably when he or she wants to. You can buy the stroller on Amazon or in-store at Buy Buy Baby.

Pros

  • It comes with a shoulder strap for easy carrying.
  • There’s no real assembly needed, and instead, you can put the stroller together with no tools.
  • Learning how to do things like extend the handlebar and adjust the seat is easy to get the hang of.

Cons

  • The stroller is on the heavier side.
  • There’s a crossbar that sort of blocks proper entry into the storage basket underneath.
  • While the handlebar can be adjusted by height, it can’t be adjusted by angle.

Mamas & Papas Ocarro Stroller

Mamas & Papas Ocarro Stroller

The Mamas & Papas Ocarro Stroller isn’t exactly a fancy stroller with tons of bells and whistles, but it is comfortable for your little one from birth to 50 pounds, and it’s easy to use and fold.

Like many other similar strollers, the ease of fold is no big surprise, but it does add to the charm of the Mamas & Papas stroller, which is also considerably less expensive than some of the other strollers comparable to the Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller.

It also has dual suspension and smooth maneuverability, so you’ll be able to steer it in and out of crowds and tight spaces with ease. There’s also an extra-large stretchy storage basket underneath for your convenience. And thanks to the supportive head cushion and padded seat, your little one can stay as comfortable as possible during every ride. You can find it on the manufacturer’s website and on Amazon.

Pros

  • The seat can either be forward or rear facing, depending on your child’s preference.
  • You can fold it closed with ease, even when the seat is in the full recline lay flat position.
  • It’s also more affordable than some other comparable high-end strollers.
  • The sturdy frame allows for extra support.

Cons

  • The wheels are made from a plastic material that may not seem as durable as thick rubber tires.
  • When in a full recline position, the seat might be exposed out of the back.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Babyzen YoYo+ Stroller is a solid option if you need a non-obtrusive stroller that can be used from the start and for your growing child. You can take it on most flights with you and fold it up to store almost anywhere when it’s not in use.

It may not come with all of the little accessories to add to its longevity, but the fact that you can purchase them separately is still useful in itself. Of course, there are a few comparable strollers in style, price, ease of use, or all three, but the Babyzen YoYo+ is a high-end stroller for a reason. And any way you look at it, it’s still a top option for any little one’s overall comfort.
